Flash

Bob,

I want to thank you and Pavlab for helping save Flash’s life. If it weren’t for you and your presence on the web, he probably wouldn’t be here today.

Mid summer last year he started getting real sick. He would hardly eat and could not keep anything down. He weighed about 50 lbs at the time and had lost almost half of that before we finally found what was wrong. We took him to several clinics in Mandeville on numerous visits and they could not figure it out. All they could tell us was that we should prepare for the worst and spend as much time with him as we could. Finally a vet referred us to LSU and they quickly diagnosed him. However, they did not give us much hope either. I was not going to settle for that and began my search and quickly came upon your website. About 6 weeks had passed since we first took him to the vet so he was in very bad shape at the time. I contacted LSU and passed this information on to them. They were not in favor of doing it but I wanted to do anything I could to try to save. It was a tough decision because he was suffering.

We moved ahead with the treatment and slowly but surely he recovered and is a very happy and active (as active as bassets get) dog today. It took about a month before he was really getting around better and after two months he was pretty much back to his old self.

Again I thank you. You are both a godsend. Attached is a picture of Flash if you want to add it to your site where you show dog’s that have been saved.

Sincerely,

Brad Landreth
